Check and update
push-host status shows host readiness. push-host doctor checks the installation. For the curl installation, run push-host update; for npm, repeat the npm install command.
Background operation
push-host service install configures operation at login. A computer that must start before login needs a system service running as your user. Use push-host service install --system to install a boot service; only its OS definition needs administrator permission.
Windows through WSL2
Run the Linux command inside Ubuntu in WSL2. Keep host data in the Linux filesystem. The host is reachable while WSL2 is running; a service does not itself keep WSL2 alive. Native Windows and WSL1 are not supported.
Your data stays yours
Host data lives under ~/.push-host, separately from the desktop app. push-host uninstall previews removal of the installed launcher and service while preserving data. For npm, also run npm uninstall -g @masslessai/push-host.
